Exceptionally helpful stuff and the place was clean. Units with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was savoury and generous, the check in was easy. Plus, I was able to park the car nearby. The venue was in a central location adjacent to excellant restaurants and S bahn and the great shops plus u bahn.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. During the vocanic ash disruption we were accommodated until we got a flight home. Good buffet breakfast. Good location for most of the sights and attraction with bus, S-Bahn and U-Bahn nearby.

I had such great days staying at this characterful hotel. The place was clean, I booked the queen room with garden views, everything was great. The staff members were all kind and absolutely perfect.

The receptionist was nice and helpful, the location very handy and the breakfast had a great selection. The hotel needs a makeover and our room was down a dark dingy corridor but the furnishings, bed, linen, and bathrooms were all pretty new! The walls, corridor carpets etc definitely need tlc.

This hotel is quite odd especially when you first arrive, it's quite a dark run down entrance but when you go to the reception and breakfast room it's light and airy. The building is old with a fantastic old lift. The hotel reception on the 2nd floor. Our room however was back down to the ground floor and through an odd door with EG on it which looked like a service door, then down a dark dingy corridor - we were getting nervous! But actually the room itself was fine. The decor needed work but the furnishings were new and a new bathroom, and the bed really comfortable so if you're not worried by aeSthetics it was fine. I think the upstairs rooms may have been better - we were in the cheap seats as last minute bookers I guess!

The location near the ku-damm in relation to the price of a spacious room. Would stay here again.

I don't think it's fair to complain about a hotel with this kind of value. You pay what you get.

The staff here knew their stuff and went above and beyond to help out whenever I needed. I really appreciated having central heating to keep cozy, a TV for entertainment, and a nice little seating area in my room. 🌟

Hotel Castell was a really great low budget option for visiting Berlin. Hotel has 24/7 reception, big enough rooms with good toilet&shower facilities. Our room was on ground floor facing a garden, which was made room be in a shadow, great on a really hot weather. Parking a car is really cheap with hotel provided vignette (deposit 50 € + 5 €/day). Breakfast provided many options to start the day.

Hotel room was clean, but somewhat old-dated. However, toilet&shower was renewed.

It was situated in a quiet place, yet really close to one of the main streets. Our room and the bathroom were ok. Breakfast had many alternatives - although it varied a lot depending on who was making it.

The walls between rooms were quite thin and unfortunately we happened to have noisy neighbours for a few nights. The elevator was old so I didn't want to use it (I don't have any problems climbing the stairs but maybe an older person would mind...)
